Question for boyers, or anyone how might know
« on: January 06, 2010, 02:33:00 PM »
I have a 1970's kodiak magnum that i found in my dads basement. Lookin over the bow it looks lik its in fine shape but im new to traditional. Its just been sittin around for a long time and my dad claimed that i shouldnt shoot it because it would be unsafe. I inspected it and there are no major cracks in the limbs. the only thing i can find is little tiny lines in the shape of a spiderweb kind of that covers a good portion of the face of the bow just above the grip. i looks like its just scratches in the finish. I think its a laminated bow but im not sure cause i wouldnt know the difference between laminated and anythign esle. Thanks guys

you will get alot more info if you post on Trad History/Collecting, just go back to the main page and scroll down to find it. You will likely need a new B-50 dacron string and a new "bearhair" rest. Once on the trad history/collecting, post pictures of the bow or a good description of bow, poundage, serial number, color of woods and glass and describe the issues in detail.
