Brace height determination
« on: March 13, 2010, 07:06:00 PM »
I built a T/D from binghams and it say's 9-10 brace and to me that seems kinda high. How does someone designing a bow determine their brace on a give bow?
The bow I built is a 66" pronounced limb. Does 9 to 10 sound correct?

Its say about 7 to 8"...I am right in that range on most of my Bingham take downs.  I agree 9-10 sounds way to high.

Double check your reading material from binghams, I think he uses the back of the bow as a measuring point.

I had the same issue when I did mine also. Both those bows are still shooters.
