Love bow fishing. I'll never forget the reaction my buddy had the first time he saw me nail a carp.
I think it helped get him into archery.

Bowfish carp every Spring/Summer.The best time 'round here is May and June, during their spawn, when they're cruising and splashing around in the shallows and it's good in a boat or sneaking along the shoreline.Lots of fun.

Bowfishin is a way of life in the Sneed family. 2 to 3 eve. per. week and almost every Sat. me the wife and the dog, daylight to dark. And sometimes after dark. First of April to the opening day of Bow seasion. With May and June being the best.

A buddy has an airboat rigged just for night time bowfishing touraments. It's not unusual for him to kill a thousand pounds of fish on a body of water like Saginaw Bay. That's to much work for me but I like going on the pre tournament trips to find good areas. Still get a lot on shooting in.

Terry's got a plan...put something together, the "Carp Slap".
I built a platform for my vnose boat this past summer so I could stand and shoot...I'm ready.

The airboat has a platform about 3 feet high with enough room for two guys to shoot and a bank of flood lights. Great rig for getting way back into the open pockets in the pencil reeds and cattails.

My buddies and I hike the potholes near Moses Lake in eastern WA and stick the smaller 10-20 lb. carp.
This 18 pounder was a record for my friend Don.
We took a trad archer from Hawaii last Spring who took his very first fish. Needless to say, he is addicted.
