I use 6 teeth per inch. The blades just don't seem to last very long at all. Anybody got any suggestions on better blade option?

You talking about cutting fiberglass?
The instructions I have say to use skip tooth wood cutting blade 3/8" wide with 4 TPI. It says it will smoke and cut slow, but should last a while.

I also use the timberwolfs...get them at Grizzly.

Glass will still wreak them...you would have to get a carbide blade for glass, but they are a little spendy for me!

When I bought my 80 inch carbide blade it was $120. I have made 6 bows with it and as far as I can tell it still cuts as new. They only glass I cut is when I cut out the shelf/window and other riser cuts. I still grind limbs to the line with my belt sander. I think the carbide blade ends up being cheaper since it stays sharper longer and will out last other blades, havnt seen any smoke off of mine yet.

When I was cutting glass with normal blades I would get one riser and limbs per blade if I was lucky.
Now I only use wood. I use the timberwolf blades and get them at grizzly.

For wood only, the Lennox diemaster is hard to beat, around 30.00 for 93.5"
For glass and wood, the Lennox Trimaster carbide is the best I've found, but at 125.00 a pop for 93.5",I don't cut much glass with new ones!!

I have an old craftsman band saw that I use strictly for glass cutting ( limbs ). I use a metal blade and they will last a good while. For cutting wood I use the Timberwolf blades on another saw.
