"What we do in life echoes in eternity" - Gladiator.

"I used to have regrets, but I forgave myself.  When God forgave me, I figured I better too..." - Johnny Cash
But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourself - James 1:22

"happy as a groundhog in soft dirt"

"you can run, but you'll jut die tired"

"there is no stopping a man that knows he's right and just keeps coming" - Louis L'Amour

"Do or do not, there is no 'try'" - Yoda

"all is vanity and vexation of spirit" - Solomon

Better stop there, although I love this stuff.  I can get into favorite bible quotes and go on for days.
Do or do not ... there is no "try"

Cum catapulatae proscriptae erunt tum soli proscript catapultas habebunt.

" "You dishonor an animal if you take it's spirit without knowing and respecting the way it lived."

I wish I could find who said/wrote that (think it was someone here), but whoever did, it was so inspiring that I got it tattooed between my shoulder blades."

Old Ways said that.

Here are a few of mine. OK, several;

"We do these things not because they are easy but because they are hard!"
John F. Kennedy, defending the Space Program, when we all hoped that one day that we might send a man to the Moon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...birds and animals are not just so many targets to shoot at. There's a time and place to hunt (and fish), and more importantly, there's reason and responsibility.~Woody Blackwell
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I had forgotton the lure of that moment of stillness right before you release. That inner quiet, the mirrored pond surface in my head onto which the pebble drops when the fingers relax.
I'd forgotton how good it feels to be utterly still, mind utterly blank, for that brief moment. A total letting go of everything, even the present, in order to send something hurtling into the future.

Such a lovely thing to do.

~Noelle Naiden

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is truly magic and I like that magic feeling.
ChuckC
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"When you track an animal - you must become the animal.
Tracking is like dancing, because your body is happy - you can feel it in the dance and then you know that the hunting will be good.
When you are doing these things you are talking with God."
(!Nqate Xqamxebe 1998)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
God's gifts put man's best dreams to shame.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your
dog would go in." - Mark Twain

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Spend your money on accumulating memories...not stuff." ~John Scifres
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Don't let the buggers become a grain of sand in your shoe, it makes your arrows fly left.
~Tim Tuttle

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will say turning 50 was sort of liberating for me...
~Dina
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
~JL

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier. -Mother Teresa
Killdeer  :campfire:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
~Longfellow
"See the problem is God gave man a pen15 and a brain , but only enough blood to run one at a time!"
Robin williams
---------------------------------
I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.
If we had some ham we'd have some ham and eggs if we had some eggs .
