Has anybody shot both and what can you tell me about the differences?

I have both on the bow rack. I like the feel of the Asbell better. The Asbell seems to have more palm swell, and fits better. I put rubber surgrip on all my bows, and like the feel of the Widow grip much better with the suregrip.

Irish is right. The Asbell grip has more of a palm swell. I have shot the Black Widow standard grip and the Asbell and the Asbell grip seems to fit me better.
Their (Black Widow) new catalog has pictures of the different grips that they offer.

I also have shot both and own 2 with the asbell grip, it really fits my hand nice, I went to nixa to order my PGA and tried a asbell for the first time, I loved it and got one on the PGA and later my PSAII. But as others have said it has a little more palm swell and possibly a small amout of higher wrist

I ordered a pma last year and had them put the asbell grip on it. I like it so far. I can switch back and forth to the original grip and the asbell with no problem.

I have BW bows with both, and slightly prefer the Asbell grip. I was discussing which one I should get with Roger when ordering my latest BW bow, so I don't have a very strong preference. Roger said the best bet, in that case, would be to order an Asbell grip, as they can sand down an Asbell grip and make it into a standard grip if I ever changed my mind, but not vice versa. I doubt if I'll ever change my mind, though, as I'm happy with the Asbell grip.

How does the Asbell grip compare to the grip on the Pittsley Predators. I've been shooting the Pittsley's alot lately and really like the feel of the grip on them. Has anybody shot both the Asbell Widow's and the Pittsley's to make a good comparison?

I really like the Asbell grip it puts my hand in a better positon as it rotates the wrist out and away from the bow somewhat. Shawn

Just what Irish said. He has hit the nail right on the head.
Here are my two widows, the KingWood has the asbel and the Osage is without...wish I had the Asbel on my Osage but it's o.k to switch back and forth.

Jim don't sweat it. You can't go wrong with a widow. I own and have owned several and the Asbell grip is my choice. It rotates the wrist just right for instinctive shooting. Goodluck and God Bless! DAVE

I ordered a PSA V last summer with the asbell grip and I love it. I had used the standard grip for several years prior, and for sure I prefer the asbell. Your gonna like that PSA V, sure is smooth with those bamboo limbs.

That will also help with performance in the form of a longer power stroke, i think that is what someone told me. I love my Asbell grip widow
