I have made a few. You refer to it as a "back quiver". There are quivers that hang on your back and side quivers that hang on your hip. The "Lakota" style I make is a "bag" quiver that has a long strap over the shoulder and hangs about waist high. Is this what you are looking for?

You mean something like these: the Plains-style (often called Lakota) side quivers?

If so, I typed up some general instructions a few years back I can email to you.

Jeremy,
Nice work. I like the light tan one. Just what I am looking for. I plan on making my first quiver and would like the plans if you still have them. I just pulled off some really nice soft leather from a huge office chair someone was tossing out - I think more than enough for a quiver like yours.

Jeremy I too would enjoy your plans for a quiver! Always enjoy building things and it looks as if you know how to put one of these together.

That is some very nice work.  About what does it cost for the hide and such?

Emails heading everyone's way...

Cost of the hides vary.  You can get full elk hides in the $120-150 range, or partial hides for a premium.  Moose and buffalo will run more and cowhide less (but the hides are bigger so it'll run you about the same).

If you're looking for some other ideas drop me a line and I can talk you through some of the more interesting ones and/or send some pictures.  I had a post with a whole mess of them in the Sponsor's section, but didn't "ttt" it or have time to make more for sale, so it was deleted in the last purge.
