I've used FF on many all wood bows with no issues. The key is to shape the tips properly (rounding over the string groove). I use tip overlays or antler tips.

I put a fastflight string on my browning wasp, (a takedown recurve). Ripped the top limb on the first shot. The Browning did not have tip overlays but the limbs had black glass on both the back and belly side. Has anyone else had this problem.

I had problems squeezing the bow grip to hard. After string issue is fixed/corrected, Relax Bow hand a touch, see what happens, Good luck

I shoot with a slightly bent arm and the grip is centered on the meaty part of my thumb. If I move my grip to the heal where all the creases in my hand meet, I get string slap on my arm guard. It makes a terrible loud noise.
