Finally! (I should live so long!) On the history channel the other night there was a show on the Mogul rulers of India, with an in-depth discussion/demo/comparison of English longbows and the Asiatic horse bows, WITH the proper armor-piercing points!!  Every time I've seen something like this before, needle bodkins are used to demonstrate the inefficiency of arrows to pierce plate armor.  Needle bodkins are for chain mail (and work great!) not plate; they blow up, every time!  This time was different!  Lukas Novotny (Saluki Bows) was the archer, and we all know Lukas can hit what he's aiming for-even on horseback at a gallop.  The longbow did not fare well!
