texas shootout with my son
« on: February 13, 2008, 04:48:00 PM »
Me and my nine year old son just got back and had a great time.

I managed two good shots at javalinas without a hit.

My son shot at thirty or fourty rabbits with some close ones.

I was able to take four rabbits.

A quality time with my hunting pardner.

I was there too. Long story short........missed a javelina standing broadside at about 10 yds! The shot it thru the lungs as it trotted away at about 18 yds! How can a guy miss a standing still target at 10 yards, then hit it moving at 18 yds.....not concentrating on the short shot, not picking a spot!

Congrats haf...looks like great times for sure.  We really need to get together and burn some wood sometime.
