hickory backing

what would the ideal thickness be for hickory backing strips. for bows in the 50 to 60# mark.

I cut hickory backing strips at about 3/16" and after sanding they are usually about 1/8" or a bit less. That's plenty for that weight bow.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
