« on: August 31, 2010, 06:31:00 PM »
Got one of those Shinto saw rasp the other day
LOVE IT!! Went to town on a honey locus stave.
There is nothing like making a self bow.

Can someone give me a recipe for a epoxy finish?

Put tree stands up today CAN'T WAIT My treevader design goes up in minuts. this is proto type #9. I think we got all the bugs worked out, could be on the market soon.

The only epoxy finish I've used is called the Massey finish.
Use some two ton type epoxy in a glass jar. Add acetone about 5 acetone  to 1 epoxy.
Mix well. use a folded cloth to dip and drag/wipe on a layer. don't rewipe till dry and doing another coat.

You can do a search for the Massey finish and will get better directions.
