Any thoughts? Would it be worth the time and money for the flooring at Lowes?

Its Jatoba, its worth it.  Back it with hickory or bamboo.

I've done Brazilian cherry strips on the face, but did have to eventually back the face with bamboo as it was starting to get hair line cracks in the cherry.  We did several with Brazilian cherry strip on the face and put a clear glass over it and worked fine.  All of these bows had a hickory core.
We done 25 + with the older teen age boys in Royal Rangers.  They all enjoyed the class and end results were great.

Heres some pics of a boo backed Jatoba I built.

It finished out a little lite 47# @28 I think it was 1.5" wide at fades to 3/8" at tips and was 62" NTN

I'm pretty sure those are the specs. I don't have it anymore, it went to Swissbow in the bow swap.
