BUILDING A HOWARD HILL TYPE BOW
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:10:00 PM »
I have a few questions about the Hill bows, maybe you guys can help me. Looking at the catalog it seems some bows have a glass backing and some do not - or do some have a clear glass on the back? And do the bows have glass on the belly, they all have a nice wood grain to look at and it appears there is no glass on the belly.

All the Hill bows I have seen have glass on the back and belly.  I think some of the really old Hill bows were just bamboo and wood bows with no glass.

Some of the old hill bows are also backed with "fibre", a kind of thick paper backing.

the modern hill bows are backed with glass on belly and back. some with clear glass on back and black on belly.

in past even the future was better, so what do you want?
