Checkered or stippled?
« on: November 06, 2010, 11:26:00 AM »
What are some of your feeling on stippled or checkered grips? I am going to get one or the other done to my Fatal Styk this off-season. How does the stain/poly match up afterwards? Are there any sponsors doing this on Trad Gang? I would prefer to keep my money "local". Thanks for any tips or advice all!

I have a checkered grip in my silvertip that i really like.  I had Dave do it when it was made so there wasn't any problem with matching the finish.  I have a bruin that I am going to have done this winter.  I haven't decided who to have do it.

I do stippling on some of my bows and I like how it helps with the grip. I usually do mine when I build the bow so can't say how the finish would match up but I like both.
