bingham bow comparison.
« on: January 10, 2011, 05:00:00 PM »
right, so new to the fg bow build, and have decided to build a binghams td longbow as my first learning build.

how does the shallow rd compare with the pronounced rd bow, with regards to.
1. arrow speed
2. noise
3. smoothness of draw
4. forgiveness of poor form etc

i am sure they are gonna come in almost the same, but would just like some input, so that when i order i have all the info.
thanks
wayne

I can't give you a comparison between the two- I've only built the pronounced bow- with the pronounced:
1. arrow speed is good
2. very quite
3. smooth drawing
The bow is a nice shooting- good to learn on bow-Check out KennyMs one piece RD bow- compairing those two- Kenny's design wins.

hi trux.
i am absolutely sure that kennys is top drawer- i have chatted to him over the phone, and i always follow his posts with great interest, however i really want to build a take down, and he said he is planning to do a takedown in the future, its just not available right now.
thanks

I experienced what David Said about the Binghams Pronounced bow  I believe BJansen (Brad) had built the Shallow.

You'll have a good journey. I think you are going to like the pronounced design, there are a lot of options with shaping the riser and I ended up changing the limb pad angle to 9 degrees which added some additional preloaded to the limbs which I liked. If you do some searches here you will find a few build alongs of this bow.
