osage sap poison?

I have heard sap from osage is toxic or poison. Anybody care to carify?

Well it is slightly toxic. I break out in a rash for a bit, but if you get it in an open wound it will take a long time to heal.

You can become sensitized to it over time too.  I wear gloves, long sleeves and long pants any time I am cutting green osage.  I once got a faceful of chainsaw crap in my face and broke out pretty good.  Just be careful with it.
