thanks for the kind words everyone. Remember, I wasn't the only one who offered, just the lucky one that got picked. Anyone would have done the same for any one of us if the shoes were on the other feet. That's what I like about this place.
tyler- I used tru-oil for the finish...about ten coats. I was trying to fill the skins in a bit more to give them a glasslike feel. It has a ff string right now, but if you prefer dacron, I can make you one and send it to you. I just like the way ff feels over the sponginess of B-50.
