Preping Lams Question
« on: February 01, 2011, 10:30:00 AM »
I purchased some Cherry lams off KennyM a few months ago. I am finally ready to use them after building a couple of other bows first.  They've been stored in shipping box in a closet until now.  I am thinking they may need a little drying out in the hot box at about 90 degrees just to ensure no excess moisture has seeped in.  SW Ohio is a pretty humid area.
So I've put thin stickers between the lams, weighted lightly where the stickers are and turned on the lights in the box with a small fan running.
Am I correct in thinking this is a good idea and for how long would you let the heated air circulate?

Being thin with air moving, not very long. Probably don't want them too dry either.
Stay sharp, Kenny.
