Shop build along
« on: February 22, 2011, 12:15:00 AM »
Well kinda...couldn't find the other shop thread. Anyways this is the inside build along.

Welded clips on the base angle to screw the studs to.

I'm about done but still have the south doors to finish up. Hope I can start bending some wood soon. I have several more tools to go in but need a forklift for the lathe. Thanks for looking.

It's been fun building the shop..I've been a welder for 30 years and never built myself a shop...It was about time. It's 24x30 with 10 foot walls,I may have room to build a few things. I didn't wont plain ole white insulated walls and for the same money I built this. Savage I'm in Pecos Co. south of midland about 80 miles in Iraan. Thanks for lookin.

I envy you, wish I had a nice roomy shop like that. I get tired of tripping over all the crap in my way. We are going to either get a big dumpster or just back the trailer up to the big garage door this spring and do some serious cleaning in my garage. Anything that isn't vital to the operations in the garage are getting tossed out. I've been a pack rat for way too long as well as my dad, and my mother is a self confessed hoarder. We'll have a hard time getting rid of her stuff, but I have no qualms about throwing a bunch of mine out. Someday I'll inherit this shop and all the yard sale crap will be piled up and burnt or a big hole dug and buried, but for now I have to keep the peace with my parents cause I don't have any place else to work on my bows.

Maybe I could come down there and work with you in your shop sometime Tex? My little brother lives just outside of Dallas in Corinth.
