« on: March 02, 2011, 01:51:00 PM »
Woundering what is the best width for a BBO. The one Im building is 1 IN. 400 thou. at the end of the working limb.{ fades I guess it would be] My other BBO is 1in. 200 thou. Im thinking maybe the limbs on my build are too wide. Thanks for any input.

I generally would go 1 3/8" to 1 1/2" with the narrower my preference. If, while tillering, you find the limbs are getting too thin start tillering from the limb sides instead of the belly.

I think the tendency of most bowyers is to not touch the width once you start tillering the bow.  Pat has great advise there.
