Just a little bump for John Scifres
« on: March 06, 2011, 11:19:00 AM »
I asked John for a straight osage stave/blank with some natural reflex. What I got was EXACTLY what I had in mind. It is a perfect specimen just as John described to me. Keep him in mind when your shopping around, you cant beat the prices with a hickory stick! He told me it will make a great bow and I have to believe him. Hopefully I will a pic or two soon enough. Thanks John!  :clapper:

Look at that, two members of the Hedgerow Selfbows Pro Staff on the same thread  :)

Way too kind of you all really.  My favorite thing about making bows is finding them in a tree I cut.  I found one yesterday that is super cool.  It's got a natural gullwing shape that I enhanced a touch with the heatgun on one of the limbs.

Thanks Chris and Kris!

Hey John, how about a photo of Mr Jonathon Livingston Seagull, sounds like a really interesting shape.
