Riser Question on my next build...

So roughly a month ago I glued up a 2x72 hickory backed osage with a 1/2" of deflex and 2" of reflex. I have layed out the bow with the following dimensions:

 67" 1 1/4 at fades tapering to 5/8 until last 6". Then abruptly from 5/8 to 3/8 for the tips which will be non bending. Bow is currently 3/4 thick through and through and plan on tillering out to 60-65lbs @ 28".

I offer this info just in case anyone sees a big disparity in my layout and wishes to offer some input. My real questions in on my riser. I did not glue in a power lam so is there a specific length or number of laminations that would be best for a bow of this design?

I usually use an 8-10" handle design. As far as the riser goes, you'll be fine without a powerlam, you just need to extend the fades out into the limbs a few inches and if its 3/4" thick you've got enough thickness to do that. You could use one solid piece for the handle or some pieces laminated together. Some people would say the laminated pieces would be stronger.
