Arrows for Muzzy shoot?

Well now that the JLMBH has come and gone for this year, I find myself daydreaming of warm weather and crazy shots through the Catskill mountain woods. Last year I used aluminum, and I only bent three, and lost 1. Im wondering if carbon is the way to go, as everyone there (it seemed) was shooting carbon. Anyone that has been to the Muzzy knows it can test an arrow(more like destroy) like no other shoot.
I shoot a 45# 62" LB by Harold Couch, and draw right to 28". Im looking for suggestions on arrow types. For now price isnt an issue, Im sure it will be eventually.  :D   Im looking for the pros and cons of carbons. Toughness, consistency, durability...etc. I noticed a lot of the other guys had them footed too.
Up to this point I have only shot woodies and aluminums. Hook me up guys(and girls). Thanks!

Jamie GT 35/55 Blems from SRTA a sponser here I feel is the way to go. Alil paint smear here and there but fully and structurally stable.
You can always use the screw in adapater for the glue on 145 judos for more FOC.

Carbon Express Thunderstorms - they are 29" long and will work well out of that weight.  I've found them to be durable, and consistent in both spine and weight.  They are kids arrows for compounds.  They are also available relabeled from Gander Mountain as their Whitetail Hunter shafts.  I think they call them 40/60 shafts????  The CE Thunderstorms are also in the Heritage line spined as the 90's.  The GM's or the Thunderstorms are very inexpensive.

Beman ICS 400's.Cheap and pitbull tough.I started shooting them from my old compound and had them fletched when I was reborn.Ive been shooting them ever since.The only issue ive ever had with them is tiny cracks where the nock meets the shaft but only when I shoot big, big game like boulders and oak trees and such.Even then I cut off 1/2 an inch and back in the quiver. At 29 1/2" wih 145 up front they fly like bullets outa the old 55 lb Zipper.Good luck with your disc brother I missed hunting with ya.

Jamie, Shawn will know just what you need, he set me up last year. I used 35/55 with 50gr brass inserts foot both ends and carry some extra nocks.

Jamie, I would shoot carbonwood 2000s cut to 29" with a 50 grain brass insert footed amd 125 grain points, bet it flies perfect for ya. Pm me I know of spot where ya can get some. Shawn

Foot both ends????? Never thought about footing the nock end. Sounds like just what I needed last year.What size aluminum would I need for a Beman ICS Hunter 400?

Izzy, I may have one flaoting around somewhere...I will check and get back to you. I used to use that shaft before I made the switch.
