would people out there consider posting details/ pictures of their glass bow designs that they would be prepared to share.
this would make a really nice, comprehensive resource for fellow bowyers.
what are the feelings on this.
here are my thoughts as a kick off.
1. i would be happy to collate all this info- maybe make it available in a disc form, or hard copy.
we can sell it for a nominal fee-and give funds to some appropriate bow type organisation.
2. each contributor has 1 vote to decide on who this goes to..
3.amature or pro bowyer- can this be controlled and do we want to control this- i think not- we are all bowyers at heart.
4. or do we just leave it on this site as a thread- as an open reference- (its just hard sometimes to find specific info on the site.- maybe not- i am just a techno peasant i geuss.)
and with some kind of credit given to the designer-his/her bow design name (eg. snake slayer!)on each bow made- dependant on peoples honesty- but i think we are all a good bunch here- and would abide by that.
5.if we leave it on this site maybe we can set up a sort of a submission template.
a.spec sheet
b.photo of form design on a 1" grid
c.pictures of completed bow
d.brace heights, spines for specific draw lengths that worked well etc etc
e.list of material resources
6.maybe we can somehow move the specific design posts to a special thread- i love all the banter, good humour and the odd bit of head butting!- thats all cool- but it will clutter up the thread some.- or do we just leave it in.
any thoughts??
