this is a kid's bow, 53"ttt, 52"n2n, bendy handle, same width (1.25") with thickness taper out to midlimb, then width tapers to 1/2 inch nocks and uniform thickness.  Tips are even, but the bend isn't exactly the same as you can see from the grid.  Am I being too picky?  Wanna take her out to 26 inches, at 22 now with a 6" brace.

Thanks boys!

Ok, done some work on her and here she is.  Took Pearly's advice and put a 1" block up to get a better bend in the handle.        Looking better?

Might be a slight hinge on the outer third on the right side.  Pretty good tho.

that's what i was suspicious of, wasn't sure if my eyes were playin tricks.  Right around where the limb intersects the six inch line, right?

The fade area on the right is flat, try scraping 15-20 passes there. Dont pay attention to those dots or grid.

Grids and dots have a tendancy to draw your attention away from the wood itself. If that handle is designed to work, I would hit that area a little as well. Sit the bow up on a 1" block rather than a 4" block. You will see a change right away. The handle needs to flex in order for a full arc tiller to work and not fret on the belly.

Dang close now. I would scrape mid limb on the right 10-12 strokes. It looks just a pinch flat right there. After that I would fire 15-20 arrows through her to be sure it "sticks". Dont draw the bow farther than your youth will. I would say 24-25" is plenty for that short of a bow. This is just my .02 cents, others may have varying opinions. Is it oak?

Yes sir, it's red oak for my son.  He has about a 25" draw, and I wanted an extra inch in for security.  I'll scrape some more tonite and update!  Thanks for the help!!!

For what its worth, I look at one limb at a time and pretend its a fishing pole bending. Thats the even bend your eyes need to see. I try not to look at the whole bow very often. Your dang close man!

K boys and girls, here it is all done but the waxn.  Thanks so much for all the great advice and encouragement.  Tradgangers are awesome

Stats:  53" ttt, 52" ntn, 15#@25".  Made based on "the perfect [bendy] bow" in TBB1.  I was going for a more primitive look, hence the art sinew and tie-on nocks.  I burnished it today and will wax it later on after she's good and broken in.   This one is the second for my son, and he's already in love, put a few arras thru already and he says it feels good and i ain't arguin!

Here are the pics, sorry the quality aint so great:

Side profile unbraced, straightens out real nice-like.  heated in about 2" of reflex to start, which i figured would tiller out to give a flat profile.  Perty close!!

ignore the leftover handle lace.  I didn't wanna cut it off just yet so i could rewrap it later.

And the money pic.  I sure was hopin he didn't let'r slip and put an arra in the tv!!

Thanks again!!  I welcome any critique, long as it's nice    ;)

Thanks Don, he's kind of a natural.  When we got his first one made it went something like this:  i showed him "now here's how you draw it" and he said "oh, like this"    :archer2:   and i said "well there ya go!"  I can't w8 to make myself a shorty like this one, just a touch heavier though   ;)
