My question I guess is: Does it matter if a bow is strung or not when not in use.

i believe that a self bow or all wood laminate bow should be unstrung when not in use so it doesn't take a set. i have read where some owners of glass bows do not mind keeping their bows strung. i unstring all my bows when not in use. don

I always unstring all my bows. Try to use a stringer too.

The glass laminate bow I shoot daily stays strung....and ready for use (others I unstring). All my wood or self bows I store unstrung.

keep it unstring when you are not using it. so that you can use the bow with its orginal draw weigth longer.
best.
