Character osage (pics)
« on: June 23, 2011, 10:31:00 PM »
I've been able to spend some time out in the garage the past couple of days.  Here's the current result.  The pics on the tiller tree look all goofy but there are no gizmo marks and it looks good in my hand.

The roller coaster near the fade can be seen in these pics.  Currently it's 47lbs @ 24" with a 6 1/2" brace 62" t2t.  Shooting for 50-55lbs @ 28".

Now that is an interesting piece of wood, you certainly have a challenge there. Will be great to see the finished product. Bue--.

Shot in the bow this weekend with the free time I had over the 4th.  Here are the first 3 shots I had at 20 yards off the hand with no nocking point.  I'm thinking it might be a screamer.  52lbs @ 28"  Antler tip overlays.  Putting on a gloss finish tonight and we will see what it looks like after a few coats.
