Where to put the tapered lam?

Hey everyone,

Thinking real hard about making a straight limbed take down.
Using 2 core lams with back and belly glass.

I THINK I want to have a tapered lam in it.

Do you think I should use a tapered lam?
If I do use one, where should it go?..( BACK OR BELLY CORE )

I dont really think it matters where you put it. I always put the thinner stuff on the belly so it is easier to bend into the fade ramps.

Not sure I clearly understand your answer.  For example, if making a classic style American Flatbow with five core lams, would you put the tapers on the back side and parralels on the belly?  It seems like a good way to assure that the belly lam lays down tight to the fades.
