3 Rivers thumbs up
« on: February 21, 2008, 03:15:00 PM »
I was reading a thread on here about a bad experance a gentleman had, I think it was due to after hours answering service. If this was the case i think he and the rest of us who might run into this should let, in a nice way, 3 rivers know about it, they are great people with great service and if somthing was not handled right through a service they use im sure they would want to know so they could correct the problem.

I just sent the following email to the member that posted that thread the following, and the email was returned......so, I'll post it here so maybe he'll see it....

Paul,

Since the beginning...before we had sponsors, we didn't allow posts about any vendor disputes.  Its been our policy since day one that if folks have a problem with a vendor they should contact the vendor and straighten it out.  We don't think that the internet is the place to air out problems with vendors.

We do make notes of problems, and have let vendors know in the past, both sponsors and non sponsors.  We also took a vendor off one time that we felt was in the wrong too many times as the complaints were just too numerous.  The web host even quit doing his web page.

So, to hold to policy, I had to remove your post.  I hope you understand, and continue to enjoy the site.

I started buying stuff from 3Rivers a few months back and have since become a loyal customer. They are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and they have some really cool stuff.

I agree that sending a PM to the company is the best way to go. And I am guessing they will respond and try to fix the problem.

I had a problem with piece of hunting gear last fall. I was dissapointed as I figured I had spent a pile of money for nothing. I wrote a polite letter to the firm, explaining the problem and offering design suggestions which I felt would correct that problem. Within days, the firm wrote back with an apology, a note of thanks for the suggestions and an offer of a full-refund. Problem solved and that firm now has a loyal customer for life.

I have found that most firms that deal in bowhunting supplies are reputable, easy to deal with and are genuinely interested in having satisfied customers.

My two bits' worth.

3 rivers is great, but this topic probably belongs in product reviews.

I apologize for stating facts and have since e=mailed 3 rivers to bring the matter to their attention. In the future I will never say good or bad about archery dealers. Not trying to cause problems for anyone.

I can see the fact of NOT dogging a dealer online... Be it a sponsor or non-sponsor.

By All means post about the good/great service, This comes back 2fold...One it lets others know where to check things out & lets them know how much You cared for that dealers Business.

I have never had a bad dealings with any Sponsor from here....

There are only a handful of archery dealers who carry a good amount of traditional archery tackle. I've dealt with the largest three or four and 3Rivers is top of the heap, every time. They are who we thought they were.
