Opinions on tiller.
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:24:00 PM »
Hi,
After some question I decided to retiller a set of old Bighorn limbs.
I would not do it on original limbs but these were sanded to reduce draw weight.
As it looks like the fades were too stiff, I sanded them a little on the belly side.

How it looks?

BTW: Where have i to take the string? Is it fron the middle or from the place where middle finger grip?
In the picture it is taken from the center.
Thanks for helping.
Martin

Thank you very much.
I move the nocking point a little and it shoots ok.
Would like to know it is bending correctly.
Thanks
Martin

I would check the tiller at the fades then every five inches up the limb to the nocks.  I would recommend that they are equal in tiller at each point.  This will allow for a really nice shooting bow.  I hope this helps....
Thanks
Dave
