10" craftsman Radial arm saw

For those who have one, and do not yet know of the recall, here is what came from Fedex today:

   

   

   

   

   

   

Now to take apart/clean my RAS so when it is all together, it will be better than new.
All this came for free, I had to just enter my model and serial numbers online at:

Its just too bad I can't get that 14" bandsaw free...
    :(

I have had mine for quite some time. The blade encloser looks nice but makes it a real pain in the butt to change blades. If you get your fingers in the wrong place it will still lop em off. Nice to get a new table free though.

By the way, if you want to save that nice new table, I bought a piece of 1/2" mdf and mounted it to the table after I completed all of the adjustments. I countersunk the screws deep enough so the blade cannot hit them. After a time when the mdf gets if rough shape you can just replace it rather than buying or building a new table.Never could bring myself to cut directly into the table.

Oh yeah, I'll be doing the same with a sacrificial top.  Thanks for the advice.

I have an old saw that works great, use it with a fine blade to cut off arrow shafts and fiberglass. Most anything I stick in there.
