Chittamwood-Wooly Buckthorn Bow Stave

I got this Dry Chittamwood Wooly Buckthorn Bow Stave....  Really different looking (for me) stave...  Take a look. What would you do with it?  It's a year dry and ready for some direction. It's 71 1/2 long 3"X2 1/4" on one end and 2 1/2" X 1 3/4" on the other....

 

Has some interesting stuff going on....

Knot looks like it would be about mid limb. You could probably work around it. Though I have zero experience with this wood so wouldn't know where to start with a design.

A clean back may be hard to find on that bugger? Looks like a job for RAWHIDE! YEE HA!

I'll do some exploration on the staves back and see what's up. The only info I've found about this wood says it will make a bow and treat it like hickory (specific gravity around.67) just a tad wider at the fades? One other person said he chased a ring with one and used the debarked back on the other and they are both still shooting? Pretty open ended info... The back doesn't show the knots as being deep but I won’t know that until I start removing wood?  Really got my curiosity...

I'm with Drums, looks like lots of violations of the back while removing bark. I would back with rawhide or chase a ring to a clean surface. Good luck with it and post some pics of the finished bow.
