Latest bow from DropTine
« on: December 10, 2011, 04:50:00 PM »
I haven't worked on any bows for a few months, been trying to find that big buck in Illinois, Ohio and here in GA. So I finished this one for my nepthew this week. It's made of Black Walnut and Mesquite with Curly Maple accents. It has Walnut limbs. 50# @ 28",64" AMO. I'm pleased!
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season. Tony

Sweet!!! I'd like to try one like that on my next one.
Step lightly, and shoot a trad bow.

Very nice.  Your nephew will love it.  If not, then he wasn't meant to shoot a bow.   ;)

Nice bow! I'm sure your nephew will be pleased! I like the way the curley maple accent shimmers. It Almost looks like a mosaic stripe.

Nice work,I really like the one for your grandson.
Is that myrtle and ebony? Very good speed for a
12 grain arrow.Wonder what a 10 gr would do out of that bow.

It is myrtle and ebony. The veneers in the limbs are from IdahoCurt. Thanks for the comments. With a lighter grain arrow maybe 190-200 fps. Tony

40# @ 29", 64" AMO. Missed my target weight alittle but that's OK! I'll shoot it through a chronograph next week. I had a little more hand shock with this bow, brace height is 7.5", but I was shooting a light weight arrow, approx 400 - 410 grains. That may be the cause??? Tony
