I like woodslicers from Highland hardware. They are for straight cuts tho,you will ruin one with any turning. Only thing I have used that cut better was a $300 carbide. IT WAS SWEET tho.

With a well tuned saw you can get good results with just about any blade. The Woodslicer has no set so the teeth don't leave a heave mark to sand out and the blade is thin so you have less waste all the way around. Less kerf and less clean-up sanding.

thanks chuck.
possibly would still like to do other cuts too.
you are right about the saw setup. its just that the blade that i got with the saw is pretty blunt now- and would like to replace it with  a good quality blade.
thanks

Wayne,
I use a 3/4" blade from "Busy-Bee" for my Lam's, it's a 4 tpi, but I make sure that I use it ONLY for wood the minute you touch it on fiberglass all it is good for then is cutting out the bow and sight windows.
I have tried them all and there are none that keep the set in the teeth once you cut fiberglas with them, I just make sure I change blades between cutting lams and glass work.
Good luck.
Bert.

hiya Bert.
thanks
good to hear from you.
are the busy bee blades a reasonably high quality. jus seems that most of their stuff is very middle of the road. but i geuss if its working well for you- then it should be just fine.
thanks

I must have gotten a bad Timberwolf blade. Best I can do with it is burn my work. And it's a 3tpi. For what I do, the Olson flex blade works fine.

Olson, timber wolf, lennox, Are all good for GP cutting.3/8 or 1/2 and 3-4 TPI. The Woodslicer is only good for wood resawing.

What blade do you use for cutting hard, dense wood like ebony or jatoba? Tony
