The best thing to do is to talk directly to the bowyer.I think grips are a personal choice.

call Allen tell him what you shoot and what you prefer.  He does a superb job.  I'm tuning some new arrows to my English this morning

I have a 66" English with a larger grip than Allen builds as his standard. I ordered the grip that way because I was moving from a bow with a straight grip and have fairly large hands.  Last month I purchased another English 68" from Allen that has his standard grip. Both bows shoot very well and I need to make no adjustments between them. I could shoot alternating between the bows between shots and the arrows will group together. That being said I prefer the standard grip. For me the standard grip makes the bow feel like more of an extension of my arm and my concentration on THE SPOT seems to be easier.
