Frosty finsh with Tbird
« on: January 04, 2012, 10:29:00 AM »
Was thinking about trying to do the frosty type of finsh with thunderbird that I use to be able to do with fullerplast.  Was wondering if anyone has had any success using thunderbird for this frosty type of finish seeing how it's an expoxy rather than a catalyzed varnish.
Thanks

I spray that on my bows.  I cut the matte finish with about 15-20% thinnner and drop the air pressure to about 8-10 lbs and mist it out of the gun after the last coat has glazed over.  You may have to play with the air pressure/thinner ratio to get it to your liking, but that has been working for me.
