Osage Logs/*EDIT*Decided to hold onto them for now
« on: January 07, 2012, 06:19:00 AM »
I've got 3 osage logs that I haven't split yet and were cut down in late August of 2011. If anybody lives in Missouri or neighboring state, that may be interested in coming by for a look at them please contact me. Not looking to sell them just don't want them going to waste. I'm not interested in shipping them either, just don't have the time to mess with it.

If you like what you see and have something I could use and would want me to have for my troubles, I sure wouldn't refuse it.    :archer:

But just want to make it clear that I'm not looking for money, just don't want this fine osage going to waste when it could be a bow for somebody.

Click the email link in my profile to send me a message if your interested in coming by for a look.

Seal the ends and let them sit for 10 years in the weeds man. You aint gonna hurt that stuff, even sitting outside. I know full well your bow building days are far from over.

Semo
Just split them in half and spray them down and put them in a shed or something. They will be good longer than we will live. Someday you will want a stave. Dean

Yeah, I guess I should haul them up to the barn and just forget about them. I can't do any splitting right now or I'll get so down in my right shoulder that I won't be able to shoot a bow or even perform my job on Monday. That's why they are still laying in front of the woodpile next to the garage. My stave working days are over until I can get this shoulder fixed and I don't have the time right now anyway. Maybe someday I can get back at it?

Leave it up to Roybert to find the silver lining in every cloud.    :saywhat:
But I'll still send ya home with some osage just the same.

RED- I'm still around now and then, but I mostly just read and don't have much time to respond lately. Now that the deer seasons have closed you will probably see me around a bit more often.
