Couple of lightweight 56" R/Ds

Sprayed these sisters up today. My least favorite part of building them.Using Krystal level sealer to fill. If I don't get it all off of the colored glass it shines through the finish on the dark glass. If you look at the belly side of the coco riser you can see what I'm talking about at the upper fade.Looks like sanding marks but as far as I can tell it's the sealer. I sanded it all off off the other bow. Anyone else seen this?

Need for the finish to harden before stringing them so here's

Beautiful bows as usual.  And yes I have seen that on a few of mine.  It showed up after I used CA glue to seal the woods and got a little on the glass.  So I had to go back and resand and refinish the area.  

That lacewood and phenolic "bear run" was a beautiful bow from a couple years back.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've always shot longer bows and still did after designing this one but I'm starting to like the way these little girls cast an arrow.
 
That "Bear Runner " was a pretty bow Shawn.Used lacewood as a lam rather than a veneer and it didn't hold up. Lesson learned.

I've been putting a specially tapered lam in some of my short d/r's. For lack of anything else, I call it a superlam. Has a builtin power lam and tip wedge, bends em more in midlimb and allows a longer draw without stack and less string pinch.

Only gains about 2-3 fps from what I can tell.

These bows have pl's and tw's also Kenny.I've thought about making up a sled to make "superlams" and probably will if I ever get done tweaking.
That being said I do like the adjustablity of the three pieces. I sometimes slide the pieces to tiller the bow at glueup.
2-3fps is a good gain with our bows. Heck they are already quick enough.
The 58" you have on the other thread is looking good !!! With a FDC like that you may have it just about tweaked out.......

That bow was for a friend of mine. I'm a southpaw and didn't notice it until after I'd strung it up and taken a few shots. Sometimes I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack.

Those are sweet PV! I love bows under 60" much nicer to carry around in the woods hunting. I just aquired a Horne's Brush Bow 55# @28" 57" tip to tip when strung and I absolutely love it. Hits right where I'm looking, too bad I didn't get it till after bow season was over but wait till next year.
