Wrap it with silk thread and glue. It should be fine. Your tiller is mucho' better. The fades are a touch hard yet.

So my plan is to soak that splinter with CA and then touch up my tiller and then bring the weight down before wrapping.  If all goes well I'll post pics of the final product soon.

That trick with the Microsoft Paint 'oval' is too cool, I picked up a very valuble tool today!  I went back and found a picture of my first tiller and now I can see what was a contributing factor to her blowing up.  Can't wait to compare this 'oval tiller checker' with what the tillering gizmo is telling me on my next tiller.

Yeah the Oval + the Gizmo makes for easy tillering.

Earlier today I glued the splinter with CA and took off all of the finish and darkened up the boo a bit with ebony stain.  When I get home I'll drop some of the weight and then wrap up the limb with Silk.

Ok down to 40# @ 28" (Sorry for the crooked picture), but I have the tiller to where I want even it and the splinter has been taken care of for now.  I'm going to wrap it up today with Nylon thread, maybe serving cause I can't find silk thread.

Ok so yesterday In the morning I wrapped and glued serving on both limbs.  When I got off work around 5 I shot about 50 arrows and I must say it shoots pretty good.   I kept the weight at 40# @28".  It shoots nice and smooth.  No shock on it at all.  After shooting I put on three coats of Tung oil.  Today I'll put on The rest and take some pictures.

Now its a tillered bow. You can always add belly lam's if you decide to make a heavier bow.

Ok here it is after I shot a carp.  This is my first ever skin of any kind on a bow.  I have to say that carp skin pretty much turns into a fiberglass laminate.  That stuff is SUPER tuff!  Alan last year you gave me more than a bow.  It was a fun project too!
