River Cane/Switch Cane as a backing?

Can I use this as a backing in lieu of bamboo?
Quinn Stallion Classic 40# @ 29"
Quinn Stallion 50# @ 28"
Quinn Comet XL 30# @ 28"

Well since they are both bamboo I could work but. There is a section in TBBI or II that talks about doing a backing in boo strips but I can't remember which one it was.

I mostly use Bamboo for backing. I think some strips of cane could work on kids bows.
I'd be leery on heavy bows, basically I'm saying if a wood needs backed it needs a tough backing.

how do you think that you will be using river cane as backing? since it is too thin to be cover the back? multiple canes? how how?

if it is possible i would like to know and i can use it as well.

inksoup...not sure right now, I am going to try it when I get around to it, right now it's just an idea.
