+Red Oak for a riser?
« on: May 06, 2012, 10:47:00 PM »
I would like to build a TD riser for some limbs that I have.  I have some dried red oak wood that I would like to try.  Is it all right to use it?  What other woods can I use?

I used a piece of red oak for a Longbow riser. It worked out great. It was a very straight grained piece.
