Nock overlays

This may be a stupid question but has anyone tried using leather and superglue for nock overlays?

I suppose you could do it, but I don't think it would add much in the way of tip strength.  I might look good though.

I have and it works well. Dave Bulla posted about using super glue soaked leather for tip overlays years ago here on TG.   I used leather tip overlays and handle riser saturated with super glue for this years TG Trade Bow.

I saw the leather handle riser. I didn't see the tip overlays though. Do u have any idea were the post is located?

I have seen the overlays and they are mean and tough. Hard as a rock and arent going anywhere. They look pretty cool too! Probably a nice surface for a string to ride.

Its an old picture but...

 

Here it is on a horse bow of mine but its not in the groove.  I would imagine that it would work just fine.
