I am building a 66" one pc. longbow. lower limb is stiffer than the top by 3/8 of an inch when I measure tiller from fades to string. I have tried to lighten the lower limb by every means I know and the best I have been able to achieve is 1/4 tiller. The bottom limb is very close to final size and I still have to shape the top limb. which will probably cause me to lose any progress I have made . My question is are there any tricks that I could try to better my tiller or at least maintain my progress after shaping the top limb? I guess I could shoot for a 64" bow and move the top nock.If I did this any suggestion on how far to move the top nock?

You can probably shorten the top a bit and not have to go as short as 64".  To avoid cutting into the upper limb, you could use a wedge tied tightly in place and try moving it around.  I don't have pic of this but someone will probably come up with one.

ocd, is this a self bow or other type, glass, etc. Also, if you could post a few pics it would really help to evaluate what you got going on....Dan

Sorry forgot to add that this is a glass laminate bow.
