Luke's Copperhead Bow
« on: June 28, 2012, 10:28:00 PM »
Luke is my shootin buddy.  My only grandson for a couple more weeks.  I have made him several bows in the last three years.  Here are a couple.

The longbow is 40" NTN and about 15# at 15".  The little glass bow is osage under clear glass and 34" NTN and 20# at 15"

Luke is a good shot for a three year old.  We work on his form, concentration and having alot of fun when we go stumpin.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  His grandmother says I have made him obsessed with archery.  All I do is shake my head in the affirmative and try  to keep from smiling too much. It is 105 outside right now and Luke and I just came in from flinging a few.   :D

Kenny, don't be surprised if he is in the truck with me this fall when I pull into your drive.  He don't think I am supposed to do any huntin without him.  Maybe he can show Darrell how to kill em.

That is cool.  Great form. My youngest sons first bow when he was 3, it was a Yew selfbow my brother made him.  Still have it......
