Hey guys, I am currently shooting uncut 2413's and drawing every bit of them. I would like to start making some wood arrows and was wondering about where to get longer shafting? Seems like everywhere I look the shafts come raw at 30 or 31 inches and that just won't cut it...  I have been shooting 60" 45@28 and 66" 48@28 recurves, and I'm not sure what they are shooting at 32.5 or 33... Somewhere in the neighborhood of 60#?  I guess my two questions are - Where can I get some? and What spine range should I shoot for if I can?

How difficult is it to make footed shafts... it seems beyond my ability??

Mate,if you've got any broken 2413's laying about,their a perfect press fit over an 11/32 Cedar.
I use then to foot my Cedars so I can shoot 3 blade thunderheads.
The fit is very tight and I taper the edges of the cedar to get them started,then just tap them lightly home with a very small hammer.
I've recovered heaps of 11/32's that have broken off just behind the field point or glue on broadhead,so you could probably use the same idea to extend your Cedar shaft a few inches.
