Bow form templates?
« on: August 16, 2012, 10:06:00 AM »
Where are you guys finding your corian to use to make templates.  I even called a fabricator here locally and they tell me they can not sell it by the sheets or pieces?  Are you buying premade counter tops?  Sure would like some info about where to get this stuff.

You are lucky then.  The frabricating shop here will not sell it unless it is laminated into countertops.

If you get some that is laminated to wood i bet it would not be too hard to remove the wood. that stuff is much tougher than wood and you can use a blade or chisel to remove any glue spots that are left behind.

I agree with Ralph theres just something about shooting a bow you made.  Its great

Have you thought about using underlayment plywood?  Or even countertop formica.  I think you can sheets of that at lowes, might be hard to cut to shape though.

There's a reason I haven't bought any yet.  They do have some discontinued and partial sheets sometimes but I don't see any good deals right now.
