I often see that product mentioned, what is it, is it a wipe on product. Wonder if there is a similar product here across the pond. Thank you. Bue--.

It is a gun stock finish sold in most sporting goods stores.  You wipe on multiple thin coats to create a very glossy finish.  Some people use their finger to apply it.  I use a small cosmetic wedge.
