Why no 160 gr screw-in points ??

I was planning on using 160gr tips to fine tune my set-up but I can't seem to find a vendor that carries them. What's up with that ??

Just buy 200 and grind them down,my field tips need to be heaver than my broadheads.About 25 grains.

The difference between 150 and 160 is so minute, vendors can't spend money on such small differences.

That's understandable but there's a lot of difference between 145 and the 170.I've been shooting wood but decided to give carbon a try and I like them. I had figured that I would use 160gr field points and then a 145gr broadhead would be just right but I didn't realize there ain't no such thing as 160 gr screw-in points. Oh well.

Thats all I use is the 160 screw in points.  You can order them from DMI archery supply or simmons broadhead company. How many do you need? I can probably send you a few to try out. If your interested send me a PM. I owe you anyway for that leather you sent me. Scott

A 125 grain glue on field point with a full length aluminum insert will get you pretty close.

Lots of options, including the PDP weight system, and 5g washers.... likely you can dial it in to a point it won't matter.

145 grain screws with 3 5gr brass washers.  Is there a 160 grain screw in out there that isn't a glue on head on an insert?? dino

125 glue on w/ 42g thread adapter... could probably grind a tad bit off the end if you realy wanted to be exact

They have 145 and 175 screw in.

Zephyr has both a 150 and a 160 grain screw in.

Aren't those Zephyrs glue on heads on broadhead adapters?  I just can think of a 160 grain screw in broadhead that isn't a combination of a glue on broadhead and a adapter.  Thats why I would be doing what Bob suggested.  Adapter with a glue on 125 grain field point to make a 160. dino

No, the ones from simmons are one piece machined steel just like any standard field point, been using them for at least 12-14 years now.
