50's style recurve?

Well, I'm thinking real strong about the Whisperstik MOJO, or Kota Kill-um...MAybe even on of Kohannah's bows.

But I'm still looking for suggestions for this style of custom bowyer.  Also wanna keep the price below 500.00 max. Suggestions???

1/4away, yeah, I know! I've been in touch with JD thru email recently, but just haven't finalized my pick.how do you find the grip with that swell?

BTW, doesn't nesecarily HAVE to be recurve. Nice longbows are great too!

The Fox Breed is a very nice 50's style recurve.  I shot one at Kalamazoo and it is one of the smoothest, quietest recurves I have shot.  The new one should be here in April.

I really like the grip. It allows for consistent hand placement each and every time I pick up the bow.

once you get used to the grip on the recurve it is great it does allow for great hand placement every time..  

jd is a great guy and makes an awesome bow  (wish i had more money to buy from him)

I will second the Whisperstik...

I just got a 60" Mojo Stik, and it is a very nicely finished bow...

Quick and quiet as well...

For what it's worth, I own, and have shot bows that are much more expensive than my Kohannah Kurve, and right now my Kurve is still my go to bow. Hard to beat it for smoothness of draw, and price.   B-

Why not buy an actual 1950's used recurve?  There are a lot of them out there and the price is certainly in your limits for most of them excepting the highly collectable/rare models. Just becuase they are old don't mean you can't shoot them.

Great Northern Ghost.  New, they're more than $500, but there's a nice used one on this site right now for less than that.
